Amazing Greenhouse Model Kit

I'm about 90% done with this project, and it has been a lot of fun. It is not for the impatient, nor for anyone lacking crafting experience, because the instructions assume some knowledge. The photos are very helpful, more so than the written instructions. Along the way I have learned many new techniques, and at times had to improvise my own strategies for crafting some of the components, but for me that is fun! I enjoy a challenge, and I love working with miniatures. I recommend purchasing a set of small clamps for holding some of the pieces together while glue sets up; I used my four clamps often. The basic assembly of the greenhouse plastic was a bit tricky, and I think it would be helpful for the instructions to show the tiny clear tabs and explain how they fit into slots. Super helpful are the colored sheets of paper that identify the wooden components in actual size. I look forward to building another kit from this line. Thanks for the fun!

I'm sorry someone had trouble because the parts weren't in separate bags... I didn't find that to be a problem.

I received this as a gift and was initially totally overwhelmed with the contents in the box but I decided to give it a try. After making the first item listed in the instruction book which was the door I was totally hooked. Each component completed gave me a sense of accomplished. I found working on this to be very peaceful and calming. The two wall pieces were warped which made the final assembly challenging but not impossible. The instruction book does not lead you by the hand in the construction of each component but the accompanying photos were more than sufficient. I didn't at all mind retrieving the component pieces from different bags. Some hobbies can get boring since you're doing the same thing over and over but not with this. Completing each component was like working on a new hobby. You will need a millimeter ruler and I found that super glue & plastic glue were needed on some pieces. An x-acto knife was a big help. I am extremely pleased with my finished greenhouse and the time I spent completing it.

I wasn't going to review but after reading the previous one. There are several tutorials on YTube for building this greenhouse. If you read the instructions carefully you will learn that the parts are coded in that it tells you which bag the part is in and then you look for the proper number. This is a pass time project, so yes, it takes a lot of work and time; but that's what you get it for. It is very detailed and looks extremely nice when completed. I would purchase another in the series.

Since there is no question category on this item---Would I need more wood glue?? Or some other type of glue?? Is there an available video to explain the construction process to this project?? I have noticed that there are available videos for items purchased from this store and thought there may be an available direction/assembly video to coincide with this project........Just wondering.

This kit has almost everything you need to complete. I used my own glue scissors, and tweezers. Great pictures for instruction. True, you must hunt in individual bags to find all parts to construct objects, but clearly marked. I've been building minis for years, however learned so much about constructing,using paper, card stock and floral wire it was worth the cost just in education. Displayed this piece at a mini show this year. It was a hit. Finishes in 1/2 in scale good quality

Every little item that you have to build is not individually packaged! You have to hunt each individual pieces down through every & all the packages they give you just to find the pieces you need!!! NOT FUN. Very stressful!!! *It wouldn't have been so difficult had they put each item your building in separate individual bags. For example: -every piece you need to make the door all in one bag. -every piece you need to make tables all in one bag. (each tiny project SHOULD be in its own separate bag. So that you don't have to fuss & stress trying to find it.) *And they should also give you a CD to watch on how to make each piece!! Rather than just only the booklet pamphlet, because it's not enough information. *They tell you you need a sewing needle & thread, BUT nowhere in the booklet does it show you what you need it for. What's up with that??? *Most importantly: it should come with every tool needed to build this project. (It only comes with: tweezer & a paintbrush, 2 types of glue & a tiny container of pigment) That's it. The rest you have to get on your own. NOT COOL. *And if you mess up cutting you are so screwed!!! So be careful. Be very very careful. *You will also need a big workplace, so that you can spread everything out and examine it very carefully.And then place everything that goes together in a separate pile, then into individual bags, so that you don't lose anything. This was a much bigger project than I had anticipated but so worth it. Not something for young children but fun to do with kids. I had to get some more glue but all the other materials were sufficient. I made it for a gift and they loved it. Lots of fun to do and I would make another.

Great little model. I wish the instruction booklet had more detailed pictures on how to assemble the smaller items such as the flowers.
